Mind you, any film making over $50 million worldwide on a $9 million production budget isn’t at all a fail, but when compared to the $125 million worldwide total for the first film, well, let’s just say it wasn’t quite what Blumhouse was hoping for. In a Q&A session over on Twitter last night, the always open and honest Jason Blum was asked about the likelihood of Happy Death Day 3 happening, and he had this to say: “Not very [likely], but not impossible.” Director Christopher Landon recently explained to EW, “I have more than an idea. I always imagined this as a trilogy, so I have the third movie, but it’s just a question of whether this one does well. I would love to make the third one. I think it’s a really bonkers, fun idea.”
